Artist: Aino Ihanainen

Aino Ihanainen is a Finnish circus and installation artist. Handbalancing as her main discipline she also works with pair and aerial acrobatics, movement and object manipulation. In her work Aino is interested in visual storytelling and often combines circus with contrasting art forms such as textile art, looking to expand the idea of circus as well as find new venues and audiences for it.

Artist: Carlotta Risitano

Carlotta Risitano started her career as a gymnast in Italy. Carlotta attended the preparatory school Vertigo in Turin and spent one year working and training in Rotterdam. In 2015, she was accepted at Stockholm University of the Arts. After graduating, Carlotta has been performing with different circus cabarets around Europe as well as creating her own show.

Artist: Benoît Fauchier, Ideal Circus

Benoît Fauchier graduated from CNAC in Chalons­-en-­Champagne in 2010, and from the Master of Circus Arts program in DOCH in 2018. He was the founding member of Cirque Kozh. Benoit has also worked with Mauvais Esprit’s Tube, Galapiat Cirque and Les Fees Railleuses. He has developed extensive knowledge in creative circus apparatus construction, and worked as the chief rigger and tent master for Circus I love you and Galapiat Cirque.

Artister: Louise Bjurholm von Euler & Henrik Agger

The artists Louise Bjurholm von Euler and Henrik Agger, a performance duo from Sweden, have worked together since 2001. For the last ten years they have choreographed their own productions, mixing art forms such as dance, circus, theatre, film and soundscapes. Louise and Henrik has performed their work at festivals and theatres all over the world. In their artistic practice Henrik and Louise investigate the art of working in pairs.

Artist: Klara Sköldulf Phillips & Fridamy Roth, Below Zero

Fridamy Roth is a circus artist, artistic director and pedagogue based in Malmö. Her work is centered around the discipline of acro dance. She has worked with amongst others, The Dansih Royal Theatre, Glimt Amager, Dynamo Workspcae and Below Zero.

Klara Sköldulf Philipp is a circus artist, project manager and as one of three artistic directors for Below Zero. She works mainly as a wire dancer and high wire walker, lately for companies such as The Danish Royal Theatre, Cirkus Cirkör and KompaniTO.

Karavan is today a company, a physical space, and a platform for circus. The purpose of the organisation is to contribute to the development, dissemination, and vitality of contemporary circus. One of its goals is to increase media coverage of the art form and encourage cross-border collaborations.

Artister: Marta Chaves de Melo

Marta Chaves is a Brazilian circus artist, actress, and aerial acrobat with a poetic and physical stage presence. Since 1997, she has performed internationally, including with Cirque du Soleil. She creates and produces her own performances and is the artistic director of Teatro Baó, based in Gothenburg.

Artister: Rebecka Nord, Circus By Me

Rebecka Nord is a Swedish circus artist and choreographer specialising in partner acrobatics. Founder of Circus By Me, she creates contemporary circus exploring trust, care and human relationships through the language of the body.

After hyperactive years with breaking, taekwondo and parkour, Håkon found a slightly calmer activity, tightwire. Through tightwire he understood presence, and the duality between mastery and vulnerability. That’s still the cornerstones of what he does today.

Artist: Klara Mossberg

Klara is specialized in tight wire and aerial hoop. She performs and creates through multiple genres and contexts. Her own research is based around developing and widening the movement technique of tight wire. Mental states and presence of the circus body in relation to architectural space.

Circus creator, musician, singer and composer rooted in Scanian traditions, active on local and international stages from Skåne to China. My work blends music and circus through interdisciplinary group process work, carrying tradition forward through a contemporary, politically aware practice.
